Potted Wild Grape Vine (Size Varies)(Vitis Riparia)
Wild Grape Vine
Wild Grape Vine, or Vitis riparia, is a climbing vine with no solid, upright trunk.
This vine has small tendrils that wrap themselves around anything they can find.
Wild Grape Vine grows clusters of tiny, white flowers which bloom in early summer.
These flowers give way to small, hard green grapes that will ripen later in the summer months until the first frost.
Wild Grape Vine leaves are heart-shaped and deep green by the bases, and the blades extend out with long, pointed tips.
If it is left unchecked, this vine can grow to a massive 55 feet, either climbing or spreading out.
Wild Grape Vines are versatile plants that have been known to grow along riverbanks, fences, and forests. They are a perennial vine, coming back year after year.
Wild Grape Vines prefer fertile, moist, well-drained soil and the vines need at least partial sun to thrive, but they will do better in full sun. They will need to be trained to grow on a trellis or climbing structure to reduce the risk of disease.
These vines are very popular with gardeners and landscapers alike as they provide a gorgeous conversation piece, and possess the unique quality of being trained to climb structures. This creates a striking look. The Vines can grow from zones 4 to 7, depending on the specific strain of vine.
The Wild Grape Vine is a hardy plant that can survive many varied conditions. These vines attract lots of birds that enjoy eating the grapes and require very little maintenance once they are trained in the direction you want them to grow. A bonus is once the grapes themselves mature, they can be used for their juice, and they freeze well.

Specials
Special: Buy 3 potted plants or trees, get one free! Just put in a note which one you'd like or we will send you the same as your others. We ship in small containers, about 18oz plastic cups. This helps greatly to almost eliminate transplant shock. Many species of trees do not have a good survival rate when transplanted bare-root. This also allows you to plant your trees faster. These trees have been acclimated to the hot sun, but shouldn't be placed immediately into the sun again when received. Just slide out of container or cut container and plant. Make sure to water 2-3 times a week for the first year or so.
